Can Pilates give me a good workout?

Pilates combines stretching and strengthening, using both springs and your own body resistance. This may appear easier, but it allows you to work harder and more deeply through the muscles than other forms of exercise. In the beginning, there can be a lot of new information for the body to learn, so you probably will not get an aerobic workout. Pilates can be aerobic in the intermediate and advanced levels as movement patterns become more familiar.
